LONDON (Reuters) – A sculptor who produced the picture of Queen Elizabeth used on Britain’s cash has been chosen to create a brand new statue of Princess Diana, the workplace of Princes William and Harry stated on Sunday, to commemorate 20 years since her demise.
Ian Rank-Broadley, whose effigy of the Queen has appeared on all UK and Commonwealth coinage since 1998, will design the statue, which now is not going to be unveiled till subsequent 12 months.
“Ian is a particularly gifted sculptor and we all know that he’ll create a becoming and lasting tribute to our mom,” Prince William and his youthful brother Harry stated in an announcement.
In January, the brothers commissioned a statue in honor of their mom, who died in a Paris automobile crash 20 years in the past to be erected exterior their official London dwelling Kensington Palace.
